En un viaje a la preservación botánica y cinematográfica, “Herbaria” explora, en sus procesos casi invisibles, las derivaciones artísticas y políticas que conectan los dos mundos. A partir de una narrativa donde el tiempo y el espacio parecen fundirse, las imágenes nos invitan al fascinante universo de preservar la belleza y la memoria de un mundo que insiste en desaparecer.


On a journey into botanical and cinematographic preservation, “Herbaria” explores, in it’s almost invisible processes, the artistic and political derivations that connect the two worlds. Through a narrative where time and space seem to merge, the images invite us into the fascinating universe of preserving the beauty and memory of a world that insists on disappearing.

Leandro Listorti (Buenos Aires, 1976). Director de cine, programador y archivista nacido en Argentina. Desde 2015 está a cargo de la Coordinación Técnica del Museo del Cine de Buenos Aires. Realizó una serie de cortometrajes en Super 8 exhibidos en festivales internacionales como el Festival de Cine de Edimburgo, Anthology Film Archive y Ann Arbor. Su primer largometraje "Los jóvenes muertos" (2010) se estrenó en IDFA y formó parte de Viennale y Doclisboa, entre otros. De 2005 a 2015 fue programador del Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente de Buenos Aires (BAFICI). En 2014 realizó el cortometraje "100mts." como parte de la película colectiva "Sucesos Intervenidos". En 2018 estrenó "La película infinita" en IFFR Rotterdam y fue artista residente en Living Archive (Arsenal Berlín). Un año después participó en el Taller Caring for Artists' Films, organizado por MoMA.

He made a series of short films in Super 8 exhibited at international festivals such as Edinburgh Film Festival, Anthology Film Archive and Ann Arbor. His first feature "Death Youth" (2010) premiered at IDFA and was part of Viennale and Doclisboa, among others. From 2005 to 2015 he was programmer at the Buenos Aires Int'l Independent Film Festival (BAFICI). In 2014 he made the short film "100mts." as part of the collective film "Intervened Events" based on archival footage from the newsreels “Sucesos argentinos”. In 2018 he premiered "The Endless Film" at IFFR Rotterdam and he was an artist-in-residence at the Living Archive (Arsenal Berlin). One year later he participated in the Caring for Artists' Films Workshop, organized by MoMA.
