Tres años después de The Nest , la directora peruano-suiza Klaudia Reynicke vuelve a este festival con Love Me Tender , un film mordaz y subversivo en su aparente sencillez. Elevada por la interpretación de Barbara Giordano, la película puede verse como una especie de manifiesto de la perfecta antiheroína contemporánea: imprevisible, libre, natural y plenamente consciente de sus propias obsesiones, que utiliza para no quedar estancada en el conformismo. Seconda's life, a woman suffering from agoraphobia, turns upside down overnight. Alone and unable to leave her home, she clings to the phone messages of a bailiff. But one day, the phone stops ringing for good and Seconda falls into the bleakest despair. Her only remaining connection to the outside world is the daily disconcerting visits of a little girl who attacks her from outside her window. When she finally manages, after many attempts, to leave the four walls that protect her, new challenges arise to put her to the test.

Three years after The Nest , Peruvian-Swiss director Klaudia Reynicke returns to this festival with Love Me Tender , a sharp and subversive film given its apparent simplicity. Heightened by Barbara Giordano's performance, the film can be seen as a kind of manifesto of the perfect modern anti-heroine: unpredictable, free, natural and fully aware of her own obsessions, which she uses not to give in and settle. La peruano-suiza Klaudia Reynicke es guionista, directora de fotografía y directora de cine. Estudió Artes Visuales y Sociología, y en 2005 viajó a la Tisch School of the Arts de la Universidad de Nueva York. Su debut en el largometraje fue con el documental ¿Así son los hombres? (2013). Respecto a la ficción,su primer largo fue The nest (2016), que formó parte de la 35ª edición de este festival.


Peruvian-Swiss Klaudia Reynicke is a screenwriter, cinematographer and film director. She studied Visual Arts and Sociology, and in 2005 traveled to New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Her feature film debut came in 2013 with the documentary ¿Así son los hombres?. Reynicke's first feature-length fiction was The Nest (2016), which was part of the 35th edition of this festival.
