ERRANTE es una meditación visual sobre el retorno al origen a partir del registro de un viaje en soledad de un año y medio alrededor del Círculo Polar Ártico. La transformación del paisaje a través de las cuatro estaciones (primavera, verano, otoño, invierno, primavera otra vez) y la fusión interna con aquello que se mira para permitir la propia transformación. Es la conquista del hogar en el sentido de poder llegar al lugar que nos pertenece. La muerte como imagen de la transformación, el descenso al lugar de los muertos, el final del ciclo y la vuelta a la vida otra vez.


WANDERING is a visual meditation on the return to the origin based on the record of a year and a half solo trip around the Arctic Circle. The transformation of the landscape through the four seasons (spring, summer, autumn, winter, spring again) and the internal fusion with what is seen in order to allow one´s self transformation. It is the conquest of home in the sense of being able to reach the place that belongs to us. Death as an image of transformation, the descent to the place of the dead, the end of the cycle and the return to life again.

Adriana Lestido (Buenos Aires, 1955) Fotógrafa, fotoperiodista y docente, fue la primera fotógrafa argentina en obtener la Beca Guggenheim, la Beca Hasselblad y el Premio Mother Jones. Tiene ocho libros publicados, entre ellos "Antártida negra" y "Mujeres en prisión". Su obra ha sido exhibida en todo el mundo. Este es su primer largometraje.


Adriana Lestido (Buenos Aires, 1955) Photographer, photojournalist and teacher, she was the first Argentine photographer to obtain the Guggenheim Scholarship, the Hasselblad Scholarship and the Mother Jones Prize. He has eight books published, including "Black Antarctica" and "Women in Prison". His work has been exhibited all over the world. This is his first feature film.
