Luciana y Fátima son compañeras de cuarto en una institución religiosa para madres adolescentes. Se pelean todo el tiempo, pero se quieren y se necesitan, solo son dos niñas repentinamente transformadas en madres. Sus días transcurren intentando construir su temprana maternidad, sobrellevando el encierro junto a sus hijos y adaptando sus necesidades adolescentes a lo que la doctrina religiosa de la institución les permite. Pero la llegada desde Italia de Sor Paola, la única Hermana joven del centro, alterará su amistad y la tranquilidad del convento.

La directora Maura Delpero debuta en el cine de ficción con este drama desprejuiciado sobre la maternidad adolescente. Tan sencilla como profunda, la historia gira en torno a tres personajes que son puro presente: su pasado apenas puede intuirse. Delpero nos sumerge en el particular y poco conocido ambiente de un centro para madres adolescentes sin recursos con mirada de documentalista observacional, mostrando una realidad sin emitir juicios de valor. Es por ello que la honestidad de Hogar conmueve y atrae nuestra mirada hacia una interesante directora que sabe transmitir, sin invadir, el frágil universo de unas adolescentes que sobrellevan su soledad entreteniéndose como las niñas que son, mientras crían a sus hijos o aguardan el momento de criarlos en un espacio más propicio para el calor humano.

Luciana and Fátima are roommates in a religious center for teen mothers. They fight all the time, but they love and need each other. They are just two girls abruptly turned into mothers. Their days go by trying to work on their premature motherhood, coping with confinement along with their children and adapting their teenage needs to what the religious doctrine of the center allows. But Sister Paola's arrival from Italy, the only young nun in the center, will disrupt their friendship as well as peace at the convent.

Director Maura Delpero makes her fiction debut with this unprejudiced drama about teenage motherhood. As simple as it is heartfelt, the story revolves around three characters that are all present: you can only take a guess at their past. Delpero immerses us in the peculiar and little known environment of a center for teen mothers without resources with an observational documentary maker's point of view, showing us a reality without casting judgment. That is why the honesty in Hogar is so touching and draws us towards an interesting director that knows how to convey—without intruding—the fragile universe of a couple of teenagers overcoming their loneliness by entertaining themselves as the children they are, while they raise their own children or await a time when they can raise them in an environment more conducive to kindness.

Cineasta y docente nacida en Italia y radicada en Argentina. Luego de estudiar en La Sorbona y en la Università degli Studi di Bologna, donde se recibió como doctora en Letras, se formó en dramaturgia en Buenos Aires. En 2008 estrenó su primera película, un documental sobre el mundo escolar desde la perspectiva de los profesores titulado Signori professori. Hogar es su primer film de ficción.

She is a filmmaker and professor born in Italy and living in Argentina. After studying at the Sorbonne and the University of Bologna, where she got her Ph.D. in Literature, she studied Dramaturgy in Buenos Aires. In 2008, she premiered her first film, a documentary about school from the perspective of teachers called Signori professori. Hogar is her first fiction film.
