Acompañada de su marido e hijos, Daniela viaja en ayuda de su padre enfermo (Roque) que vive aislado en un casco de estancia. Mientras cuida de él, una crisis energética estalla y el país entero se hunde en una anarquía feroz donde impera la ley del más fuerte. Huir al exterior parece la única salvación posible. Roque se resiste a dejar su hogar, pero Daniela está decidida a seguir el plan de huida ideado por su marido sin imaginar que, por detrás, se esconde un engaño insospechado. Abordando tanto las consecuencias físicas como psicológicas del aislamiento y las crisis vinculares que ésta genera, La Burbuja se desarrolla como una película distópica y apocalíptica.
MIGUEL ÁNGEL ROCCA Es director y guionista de los largometrajes de ficción LA BURBUJA (2023), MARACAIBO (2017), LA MALA VERDAD (2011), ARIZONA SUR (2007), con las que ha obtenido premios en los festivales de cine de Milán, Trieste, Huelva, Málaga, Cataluña, Montreal, entre otros, y de la serie de ficción histórica MARTINA CHAPANAY: MUJER DE CINCO MIL BATALLAS (2023). En 2001 fundó, con Daniel Pensa, la casa productora PENSA & ROCCA CINE llevando adelante desde entonces la producción ejecutiva de más de 35 audiovisuales entre largometrajes, documentales, y series, como: LEGÍTIMA DEFENSA (2023), ADIÓS BUENOS AIRES (2023) servicio de producción para Alemania, 3DT (2022), 9 (2021) en coproducción con Uruguay, EL AMOR ES MÁS FÁCIL (2022), AL MORIR LA MATINÉE (2020) en coproducción con Uruguay, LEJOS DE PEKÍN (2019), MI MEJOR AMIGO (2018), MI MUNDIAL (2017) en coproducción con Uruguay, COLONIA (2017) servicio de producción para Alemania, CAÍDOS DEL MAPA (2013), CARNE DE NEÓN (2011) en coproducción con España, APARECIDOS (2008) en coproducción con España, entre otros títulos. También estuvo a cargo de la producción de las películas REHÉN DE ILUSIONES (2012), NO MIRES PARA ABAJO (2009), LIFTING DE CORAZÓN (2006), LAS AVENTURAS DE DIOS (2000), del reconocido director argentino Eliseo Subiela. Hace 27 años se desempeña como docente de guion en la Universidad de Buenos Aires y director en la Escuela Profesional de Cine de Eliseo Subiela. Actualmente está trabajando en la postproducción de MARTINA CHAPANAY en su formato de largometraje a estrenarse en 2024, y en el desarrollo de sus próximos proyectos cinematográficos: TRES BANDAS (ficción) y EL CRIMEN DE LAS FRANCESAS (documental true-crime).
Accompanied by her husband and children, Daniela travels to help her sick father (Roque) who lives in a ranch isolated from everything. While she takes care of him, an energy crisis breaks out and the whole country falls into a ferocious anarchy where the law of the strongest prevails. Fleeing abroad seems to be the only way out. Roque refuses to leave his home behind but Daniela is determined to follow the escape plan devised by her husband without imagining that an unsuspected deception is hidden behind the crisis.
MIGUEL ÁNGEL ROCCA He is the director and screenwriter of the fiction feature films LA BURBUJA (2023), MARACAIBO (2017), LA MALA VERDAD (2011), ARIZONA SUR (2007), with which he has won awards at the Milán, Trieste, Huelva, Málaga, Cataluña, Montreal film festivals, among others, and the historical fiction series MARTINA CHAPANAY: MUJER DE CINCO MIL BATALLAS (2023). In 2001 he founded, with Daniel Pensa, the production company PENSA & ROCCA CINE, since then carrying out the executive production of more than 35 audiovisuals including feature films, documentaries, and series, such as: LEGÍTIMA DEFENSA (2023), ADIÓS BUENOS AIRES (2023) production service for Germany, 3DT (2022), 9 (2021) in co-production with Uruguay, EL AMOR ES MÁS FÁCIL (2022), AL MORIR LA MATINÉE (2020) in co-production with Uruguay, LEJOS DE PEKÍN (2019), MI MEJOR AMIGO (2018), MI MUNDIAL (2017) in co-production with Uruguay, COLONIA (2017) production service for Germany, CAÍDOS DEL MAPA (2013), CARNE DE NEÓN (2011) in co-production with Spain, APARECIDOS (2008) in co-production with Spain, among other titles. He was also in charge of the production of the films REHÉN DE ILUSIONES (2012), NO MIRES PARA ABAJO (2009), LIFTING DE CORAZÓN (2006), LAS AVENTURAS DE DIOS (2000), by renowned Argentine director Eliseo Subiela. For 27 years he has been script teacher at the University of Buenos Aires and Eliseo Subiela Professional Film School’s principal. He is currently working on the post-production of MARTINA CHAPANAY in its feature film format to be released in 2024, and in the development of his next film projects: THREE BANDS (fiction) and EL CRIMEN DE LAS FRANCESAS (true-crime documentary).
