Historias de estaciones (Tales of the Seasons) is a long-term project inspired by Eric Rohmer's Tales of the Four Seasons. The tetralogy is made up of Historias de verano , Historia de otoño , Historia de invierno and Historia de primavera. With these four films, shot as an homage to the French director, Gabriela Guillermo and Irina Raffo begin a cinematic journey to go after, portray and film the various expressions of love throughout the different seasons.

The bright Historias de verano is the first of these films. It tells the love stories of young Uruguayan people in a seaside town near Montevideo. Five love stories and a hopeful recording—including three sunsets—to see the green flash. Gabriela Guillermo and Irina Raffo transport us to one of those youthful summers that gently fluctuate between finishing school, making plans for the future, conflicting desires, the importance of small details and those trivial conversations that can be barely told apart from the cheerful ambient murmuring. Five stories that take place in bright and beautiful summer locations and that delightful dolce far niente that goes so well with the game of love. A film with a warmth you can almost touch that revives the yearning to enjoy those wonderful sunsets with your eyes full of what's to come.
